Argos is back. The Holy Beast has been reimagined as a standalone frost-themed event encounter, and whether you cleared the original on day one or never got the chance, Snowflake Argos has something for you.

This update introduces the Snowflake Argos event alongside new Wandering Merchant cards to help prepare for the upcoming Horizon Cathedral Abyssal Raid, the return of the Golden Frog Event Shop, and more. Downtime will begin on May 13 at 12 AM (7AM UTC) and is expected to last 7 hours. Read on for the full list of new content, events, store offerings, and other changes below.

SNOWFLAKE ARGOS

Event Period: May 13, 2026 – July 15, 2026

The Holy Beast Argos has returned, reborn in frost and reimagined as a standalone 8-player event encounter. This reworked version of the classic Argos battle takes place on a new yet familiar Valtan 0 platform, challenging adventurers to face familiar yet transformed mechanics in a limited-time event with exclusive rewards.

How It Works

While it's not required, you can accept the [Event] Tranquil Night quest from Special Investigator Atan in Elnead to get started. The Snowflake Argos event runs every hour, starting at 10 minutes past the hour. You'll be able to do this once per day and 3 times per week. Event progress and detailed information can also be found through the Snowflake Argos icon on the left side of the mini-map.

Players can participate based on their current Item Level:

  • Item Level 1640 – 1719
  • Item Level 1720+

Earning Snowflake Argos Coins

Snowflake Argos Coins are earned based on your co-op quest tier and buff stacks accumulated during the encounter:

  • Earn coin buffs by successfully performing a Perfect Block or Counterattack during the battle with Argos.
  • If you die in battle, a portion of your earned coin buffs will scatter randomly across the battlefield. Scattered coin buffs can be picked up by any player to stack additional buffs.
  • Buff stacks earned during the fight provide bonus tokens on top of your base reward, scaling from +20 tokens at 10 stacks up to +50 tokens at 100 stacks.
  • After defeating Argos, you receive additional rewards based on the number of buff stacks you have.Bronze: 270 coinsSilver: 285 coinsGold: 315 coinsPlatinum: 330 coins

Exchange your Snowflake Argos Coins for valuable rewards at the event shop. Notable items include:

General Updates

WANDERING MERCHANT UPDATES

As you prepare for the challenges ahead, new cards have been added to the Wandering Merchant rotation. These additions will help complete key Card Sets that provide important bonuses for the Horizon Cathedral Abyssal Raid arriving in June.

Event Updates

APRIL'S FOOL EVENT — FINAL REWARDS

The Mystery Orb event concludes with its final rewards. Players who participated can now claim their final reward:

  • Mystery Orb Final Reward: Selection Chest where you can choose between a Legendary Hell Key or a Netherworld Key

The Random Engraving Chest has a 10% chance to contain a Relic Engraving Selector Chest (Tradable) and a 90% chance for a Relic Random Chest (Tradable).

A one-time Golden Frog Engraving Selection Chest (Bound) is also available for 100,000 gold (Item Level 1640+).
